What to expect during a Reiki session

In a Reiki session, the client lies on a massage table, fully-clothed, under a comfortable blanket.

The practitioner then uses gentle touch and energy-moving techniques to promote calm, healing, and stress reduction in the client.

In my own practice, I will also sometimes diffuse essential oils, or play calming music or nature sounds during a session, depending on a client's preference.
Clients of mine have reported deep feelings of calm and love, warmth, energy, current, and even an increased ability to breathe.

That's the wonder of it: if you open yourself to the healing, it finds where it needs to go.
